カカオトーク障害で「マルチプロフィールで不倫がバレてしまう」…カカオ側「懸念は事実ではない」＝韓国
韓国の国民的アプリ「カカオトーク」の障害によって、同アプリの機能の一つ「マルチプロフィール」が見えるようになっているとの問題が提起されたが、カカオ側は１６日午後３時２２分、ツイッター公示を通じて「マルチプロフィールが指定の『カカとも』ではない『カカとも』に見えるエラーが発生するという懸念は事実ではない」と明らかにした。
続いて「ただし、現在一部プロフィールのイメージ設定の反映が遅延する場合があり、この部分も正常化できるように最善を尽くしている」と説明した。
１５日カカオトークの障害が発生した後、翌１６日にはマルチプロフィールの露出がＳＮＳなど各種コミュニティで話題になった。正常に作動しなくなったカカオトークの機能が復旧する過程で特定の人だけに見えるように設定しておいた「マルチプロフィール」が指定対象ではない人々にも見えるようになっているということだ。
マルチプロフィールとは、名前はそのままで、相手によってそれぞれ異なるプロフィールを見せることができる機能だ。基本のプロフィールの他に追加で最大３つまでプロフィールを作ることができる。
オンライン掲示板ではマルチプロフィール障害による私生活の露出で被害を受けたという投稿があり、高い閲覧数とともに多くのコメントがつけられた。
これに対してカカオ関係者は「障害事態でマルチプロフィールをアップデートする場合すぐには反映されず、マルチプロフィールを変更したのに以前のものが表示されるケースがあった」としながら「このような場合でも既に設定したグループ以外の不特定多数に見えるようになったわけではない」と明らかにした。
また「カカオトークのメッセージ数・発信は現在ほぼ復旧したが、マルチプロフィールなどその他機能が正常に作動するかどうかについては個人差がある場合もある」と付け加えた。
