まいじつ生配信中に「170センチ以下の男性には人権がない」という趣旨の発言で、所属チームとの契約を打ち切られてしまった元プロゲーマーのたぬかな氏。事態は本人やゲーム業界だけではなく、思わぬ方向にも波及しているようだ。
たぬかな氏の騒動がきっかけで注目を集めたのは、アニメキャラクターの身長。意外と170センチを超えていない男性キャラクターは多く、人気アニメ『鬼滅の刃』（フジテレビ系）の主人公・炭治郎の身長は165センチ。15歳という年齢を踏まえると仕方のないことかもしれないが、たぬかな氏の持論に当てはめると、人権が取り上げられてしまう身長である。
170センチ以下の炭治郎に対して、ネット上では、

《成長期かつ大正時代だし》
《年齢から考えたら現代でも有望株じゃん》

成長期の炭治郎よりもツッコむべきなのは、170センチに満たない成人済み男性キャラだろう。例えば、国民的作品『ドラゴンボール』に登場するベジータの身長は164センチ。他にも一大ブームを巻き起こした『進撃の巨人』のリヴァイ兵長の身長にいたっては160センチと、挙げたキャラクターの中でもかなり低めだ。
この事実に対しても炭治郎と同様に、
《ベジータの身長なら勝てそうではある》
《やっぱ身長盛りたくてあのヘアスタイルにしたんかな》
《リヴァイ170ないから人権ない》
